Jo Kang-ja was mischievous and violent in her youth, but she straightened out and transformed into a responsible mother after giving birth to her daughter, Oh Ah-ran, now a teenager.
Ah-ran is bullied at school because of her friendship with an outcast student. However, she is afraid to tell her mother for fear of burdening her with problems.
When Jo Kang-ja discovers what is happening, she decides to enroll at the same school under the pseudonym “Jo Bang-wool” as a new student to confront the bullies and expose corruption within the educational system.
The story evolves from confronting bullying to uncovering corruption cases within the school, involving officials and many complications. The battle becomes not only to protect her daughter but also to change the system.
The relationship between mother and daughter deepens over time, as Ah-ran begins to understand her mother’s past and behavior, and trust gradually grows between them.
