A Syrian director and sound editor, he was born in Damascus in 1991 into an artistic family—his father, Samir Qusaibati, is a renowned composer, music arranger, and one of the founders of Spacetoon TV.

Growing up in a creative environment had a strong influence on his path. He began his career as a sound editor, working on numerous films and earning two awards for his sound editing on the film Kharazeh Zarqa (Blue Bead).

Later, Zaher pursued film directing at the Syrian Academy of Cinema. In 2020, he directed his debut short film Aqd (Contract), which was selected among the top ten films in the Mentor Arabia competition.

In 2023, he directed Halawa Murra (Bitter Sweet), which received multiple international awards for Best Film, including first prizes at:

• Tunisia (Cinétoile Festival)

• Dubai (Al Marmoom Film Festival)

• Kuwait Film Festival

Zaher currently manages Art House, a production company specializing in dubbing, cinema, and music. He is also working on his first feature-length narrative film, continuing to create works that authentically reflect human life and social reality with artistic depth.

He is a prominent Syrian musician and composer, born in Damascus in 1965, and widely known as the “Musician of Childhood” for his exceptional work in composing songs for children.

As one of the founding members of Spacetoon TV, he played a major role in shaping its musical identity by composing numerous theme songs for popular animated series. He was awarded “Best Composition” on Spacetoon, further establishing his status as one of the most influential composers in the field of children’s music.

Throughout his artistic career, he has composed, arranged, recorded, and supervised the production of over 5,000 songs, covering a wide range of musical genres and purposes. His most notable works include theme songs for beloved anime series such as The Little Match Girl, My Sister and I, Don’t Cry Little One, Digimon, Detective Conan (Season 9), and Dragon Ball Super. He also created religious songs like Hajj: A Light in the Skies, as well as educational children’s songs such as Summer Season and Moda Modi.

In addition, Samir Qusaibati arranged the final album of the late artist Ruba Al-Jamal, bringing a unique musical touch to her work.

In 2003, he founded his own production and distribution company, Art House, with the mission of delivering high-quality, meaningful content—free from violence and negativity—driven by his belief in the power of music to positively shape future generations.

Saher studied in the first academic cohort for film directing in Syria, graduating from the European University, Faculty of Drama and Film Directing. He later continued his education at the Film School in Egypt, specializing in directing and cinematography, accredited by the Egyptian Syndicate of Cinematic Professions.

In 2020, he directed his first music video for Spacetoon TV. His journey in sound directing began even earlier—at just 17, he supervised the animated series Noor and the Gateway to History (2017), the first Egyptian 3D animated series, which won the award for Best Egyptian Animated Series that year.

In 2023, Saher worked as assistant director alongside his brother, Zaher Qusaibati, on the award-winning film Halawa Murra (Bitter Sweet).

In 2024, he wrote and directed his debut short film, Faragh (Emptiness). He has also directed several podcast shows, most notably “Golden Generation Memories Podcast”, which surpassed 30 million views.

Saher continues to work on a wide range of projects in film directing and media production, focusing on storytelling that resonates with modern audiences while honoring cultural depth.
